His books captured the imaginations of America’s youth during the 19th century, and even until today. Edward Stratemeyer was a publisher and writer of children’s fiction, and sold over 500 million copies throughout his lifelong career as a writer through his publishing company, the Stratemeyer Syndicate.
He is responsible for works such as the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories, The Hardy Boys Mystery Stories, The Bobbsey Twins, and so much more. I personally grew up enjoying The Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series’. I still read them from time to time! If you’re unfamiliar with them I highly recommend you pick some up, they are timeless masterpieces.
